Hello ladies! The dates for Sisters Fest 2016 are March 18th & 19th. The theme is SLUMBER PARTY!
If you have never been to a Sisters Fest weekend you have really been missing out! The weekend starts on Friday evening with a dessert & appetizer contest. Attendees are asked to make their favorite dessert or appetizer & bring it so that the other attendees can sample them. Each attendee is given 3 ballets – 1. best appetizer, 2. best dessert, 3. best theme food. The best theme food category is for foods that are made to represent the weekend theme! AWARDS will be given to the winner of each category at the banquet Saturday night.
Also on Friday night is the VARIETY SHOW! This is one of the favorite activities of the weekend. Sisters that choose to participate can sing, dance, recite poetry, stand on their heads or do any “talent” that they would like. This is for fun only, no judging.
Many sister groups make and dress in theme related costumes. There are no requirements for dress for the weekend – we only ask that you keep it decent, this is a family fun weekend.
These events take place in the Ball Room of the Elks #333 in downtown Sistersville, WV. The Ball Room is the vocal point for Sisters Fest. This is where the registration & information desk is located & the majority of the activities will take place.
The Elks has once again opened their bar/lounge area to Sisters Fest attendees. *Please register with the bartender if you are not an Elk member & go to the bar/lounge area* There will be a DJ in the lounge Fri. & Sat. nights after the Sisters Fest activities for your enjoyment.
Saturday is a day chocked full of things to do! Morning starts with breakfast on your own. We will list area businesses offering breakfast at a later time. The HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR SISTER GAME SHOW is next on the schedule for Sat. morning. Following the game show will be Sisters Fest version of THE AMAZING RACE! For sisters who do not wish to participate in the race there will be activities going on in the ball room . Following the race & activities is lunch. The WOMEN OF THE LIONS CLUB will be serving lunch at the Methodist church. As this is a fund raiser for the Lions Club, there is a charge for this luncheon. Many local eateries offer lunch if your group choses to not do the Lions Luncheon.
During the afternoon there will be several activities going on. We will be offering Sister Olympics this year. The Olympic activities will include: Shuffle Board, Pool Tournament, Corn Hole & Cards. We are still working out the rules for this, but will post more information at a later date. We will have some activities going on in the ball room for those who choose not to participate or be on the cheering squad for the Olympians.
The DECORATED ITEM CONTEST this year will be for a decorated pillow. Pillows will be judged good, better & best. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Pillows will be placed & left in a designated area in the Ball Room so that the judges can judge them & the other attendees can see your handy work. So please do not make the pillow part of your costume for the Parade unless you plan on sitting on the table for the rest of the day with the other pillows.
PARADE: Each year we have a parade on Saturday. This is usually held late afternoon/early evening. The Parade route is short, 2 blocks long. From the Wells Inn to the Post Office. We gather on the Post Office steps for a group picture. Wear your costume for the parade. Prizes will be awarded at the banquet for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
BANQUET: The banquet is held Saturday night. Dinner will be made and served by the ELKS. Baked steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, slaw & dessert.
During the banquet all the winners from the weekend contest will be announced & awarded. Also during the banquet you will have the chance to win many door prizes.

UPDATE: PRICES FOR 2016
REGISTRATION: $10.00 A one time fee (per year) that must be paid to attend any Sisters Fest event.
T-SHIRTS: $15.00 Must be sent in with your registration so proper size & # of shirts can be ordered.
BREAKFAST: We have received word that the Sistersville Fire Dept. will be offering breakfast to Sisters Fest attendees. We at this time do not have a price or time, but we will post as soon as we do.
DEADLINE FOR PREREGISTRATION: Please have your preregistration forms with payment(s) returned by the March 1 deadline. Any registrations received after March 1 will be on a first come first server basis for events that need numbers. *Luncheon, Banquet & T-shirts*
